Workday's Pay Calculation Results – Deduction Register lists every deduction taken in a pay run, one row per worker per deduction, across 12 columns. Here is every column, what it held on a US weekly run, and what YourPayBot does with it.
Written from a US weekly run with invented workers. Your tenant's deductions and groups will differ. Workday is a trademark of Workday, Inc. YourPayBot isn't affiliated with Workday.

| Column | What it holds | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Payroll Result | The pay result the line belongs to: worker, ID, pay date, run category and status in one cell. | Harriet Vale (100231): 09/19/2026 (Regular) - Complete |
| Worker | Name with the ID in brackets. | Harriet Vale (100231) |
| Employee ID | The ID alone. Keep it as text: IDs can start with 0. | 004417 |
| Company | The legal company. | Example Holdings, LLC |
| Organizations | Several organizations stacked in one cell, one per line with a blank line between. | Cost Center: Department 07 / Location: Site 02 |
| Period | The pay period, then the period schedule in brackets. | 09/13/2026 - 09/19/2026 (Weekly (Sun-Sat)) |
| Deduction | Code and name together. | 440 - Dental EE |
| Deduction Code | The code alone. | 440 |
| Pay Component Groups | Every group the deduction belongs to, stacked one per line. See below. | Employer Paid Benefits / Withholding |
| Current Period Result | The amount taken this period. 0 when nothing was taken. | 4.10 |
| Current Period Arrears | What couldn't be taken this period and went to arrears. | 18.75 |
| Outstanding Arrears Balance | The arrears still owed after this period. | 75.00 |
In Organizations and Pay Component Groups, the slashes above stand for line breaks inside the cell. Filter or pivot on either column and each combination of lines is its own value.
The groups say how a deduction is treated, not what it is. An employee pre-tax deduction lists every tax it lowers the wages for. An employer-paid one lists Employer Paid Benefits. In the run behind this page:
Employee pre-tax (Dental EE)
Employer paid (Dental ER)
| Deduction | Pay Component Groups |
|---|---|
| Employee pre-tax (Dental EE) | Federal Taxable Reduction, FICA Taxable Reduction, FUI Taxable Reduction, Local Withholding Taxable Reduction, Local Withholding Taxable Reduction Employer, Pre Tax Deductions, Section 125 Cafeteria Plan, State Withholding Taxable Reduction, SUI Taxable Reduction, Withholding, Withholding Order (All): Medical Insurance |
| Employer paid (Dental ER) | Employer Paid Benefits, Withholding |
So Employer Paid Benefits is how to tell employer lines from employee lines without relying on EE or ER in the name, and Section 125 Cafeteria Plan or Pre Tax Deductions marks the pre-tax ones.

Gross and net
A pay date column
| Missing | What that means |
|---|---|
| Taxable wages | No column holds the wages each line was worked out on, so no rate can be tested against it. |
| Taxes | The run this page is written from held benefit deductions only, dental for the employee and the employer. No tax lines. |
| Gross and net | Nothing to tie the deductions to a paycheck. That's the Payroll Register. |
| A pay date column | The date is only inside Payroll Result. |
Pair it with the Payroll Register for gross and net.
Drop the file as it comes on 2 · Register & deductions. It's recognized as a deduction export from its headers, with nothing to map.
The checks that run: deduction not taken, arrears increased, repeated deduction line, negative deduction, arrears growing (when the file covers two or more periods) and amount outliers, plus three Pro checks: payroll result not complete, employee and employer shares that don't pair, and large arrears balance. Without Pro, each Pro check that finds something shows as a count. A worker with Dental EE but no Dental ER is flagged when others in the file have both. An amount two or more workers share, like a family tier, isn't called an outlier. The Social Security and Medicare rate checks and the missing-FICA check sit out, since there are no taxable wages or tax lines.
Employer lines count toward Total withheld, the same as employee lines. The Breakdown tab, or By Deduction in the workbook, shows each code on its own.
